A pocket letter is like mini scrapbook. This is a cool idea for when you are away (on vacation for a rainy day while at camp) put some of your souvenirs and photos together send one to yourself and to whoever you wish was with you! I’m sure you can think of many things and ways to fill the pockets. Did you go to the beach? Include some of the sand in a little baggie (like a 1/2 -1 inch size. If you include some small shells be sure to use a bubble envelope.
Depending on what you are working with there are 2 ways to do this
The first is if you want to ‘trace’ something into your journal or on a report etc. I learned about this recently.
This one is great for those of you that journal, or might want to make your own picture but can’t quite get it just right so you can use a few different images to put it together to create it
Get some GRAPHITE paper this can be erased after you have gone over it in the color you want.
make sure when you purchase in a store it says graphite as Carbon will not erase.
Transfer an image to wood, clay etc by using
a printed image, and some baby oil! as seen here
I’m posting this early as I’m sure it takes a while to plan and prepare. Here’s an idea for a Mothers’ day gift or a shower gift for a mom to be (especially if she will make her own baby food).
You can make it for one recipe throughout the book, or make each page a recipe. Either way this would make a great gift full of love for your mom of her, Yours or everyone in the family’s favorite recipe(s).
Even better, is your daughter getting married? Why not make this for her with the family recipes (especially ones passed down) This makes a lovely gift full of love, for anyone. I love the way they include the ingredients with little mini versions of what you need.
Bread: an instructional pop-up book
Search scrapbook Pop up books for inspiration or for a simpler, not as pretty version (good for school projects)
I’ve been Pen paling (yeah the snail mail way) since summer of 1994. I do still write to a couple of my original pals, as well as have some new ones. This year I thought of the idea of making a pen pal kit for a couple of mine. It’s a thoughtful gift, the box gives them something to lean on as well as store their paling supplies in, if they do not have a desk. Plus You can also (if you’d like) personalize the top of the box with a monogram, re-paint it or even use a nice tack paper on it especially if like me you use the good Cigar boxes. Sometimes you don’t even need to as some are nice enough looking.
Whatever your decision make sure you personalize it with some things they like as well as the sort of stationery they normally use (like Notecards, a writing tablet, or printer paper.) Include a pen, some stickers, and other assorted items.
Take a look at what I’ve included in mine.for my Pal Alisa (it was her 2016 holiday gift)
Sorry this cuts short
You’ve heard of Man caves but not all of us have that sort of room, so why not a corner?
I liked this for my dad, and our neighbor uses the crossbeams of his garage for his. (But I think this could use a drawer or something on the bottom to store extra reels) Let me tell you.. Our neighbor could use some of these ideas for his garage. He uses something then the next time he needs it, he can’t find it! If my dad and I are there we both end up looking for it!
I love the coat hangers they show, but how am I supposed to get a hold of The Hulk to do that for me? The Picnic table!!! Oh…My SUN GODS!
Have I got some projects for you this year! I cam across this and started to drool.
Instead of getting rid of those old jeans put them away to use for these darling if not daring projects!
What are they, one is a bib, a basket bucket and even a place mat with pocket for napkin and utensils. Let’s not forget the Denim Whale, I wasn’t aware blue whales came from denim! I also like the jeans with the British flag on it
Up the ottoman project to be storage! Use a pail of your liking to store your kids toys or anything that you may need to quick clean when pressed for time when company is coming.
I ‘sew’ want to make those place mats for cookouts!
