In honor of the spring getting here, here’s a little something for those that plan on a bit of spring cleaning weekend! (or month)
I know the Crafter math gets out of hand and likely your Craft supplies may need to be organized or you might just want to change the way you have them so. I know every so often we (or they) grow out of the current way they are orgaized.
So for your inspiration here are a few I liked and the link.
If you have any of your own ideas, or use any of these….I’d love to see them!
send the photo link in the comments I’d love to see what you did.
Our son is getting to the age where he can almost color without trying to eat his markers and crayons (the keyword there is almost), however, he still attempts to scribble on the wall any chance he gets. Despite getting him a small IKEA table for all of his creative pursuits, he seems not to want to be confined to paper so we figured if coloring on the walls is what he wants then coloring on the walls he shall get. We have always been admirers of chalkboards…the rustic kind that you see in old schoolhouses in black and white movies. We figured a chalkboard would not only be nice for doodling and writing the dinner menu on but also as a fun educational medium to teach letters, words, and concepts.
We did toy around with the idea of painting an entire wall, which has become popular these days, but…

A pocket letter is like mini scrapbook. This is a cool idea for when you are away (on vacation for a rainy day while at camp) put some of your souvenirs and photos together send one to yourself and to whoever you wish was with you! I’m sure you can think of many things and ways to fill the pockets. Did you go to the beach? Include some of the sand in a little baggie (like a 1/2 -1 inch size. If you include some small shells be sure to use a bubble envelope.
Depending on what you are working with there are 2 ways to do this
The first is if you want to ‘trace’ something into your journal or on a report etc. I learned about this recently.
This one is great for those of you that journal, or might want to make your own picture but can’t quite get it just right so you can use a few different images to put it together to create it
Get some GRAPHITE paper this can be erased after you have gone over it in the color you want.
make sure when you purchase in a store it says graphite as Carbon will not erase.
Transfer an image to wood, clay etc by using
a printed image, and some baby oil! as seen here
I’m posting this early as I’m sure it takes a while to plan and prepare. Here’s an idea for a Mothers’ day gift or a shower gift for a mom to be (especially if she will make her own baby food).
You can make it for one recipe throughout the book, or make each page a recipe. Either way this would make a great gift full of love for your mom of her, Yours or everyone in the family’s favorite recipe(s).
Even better, is your daughter getting married? Why not make this for her with the family recipes (especially ones passed down) This makes a lovely gift full of love, for anyone. I love the way they include the ingredients with little mini versions of what you need.
