Made this last night

I made this book thong (book mark) last night That piece of film negative was in a brochure from (I thin it was) the Aquarium in Connecticut. I didn’t want to just tape it into my journal so I thought to keep it in the book and find it quick, I’d make it into a book mark. Now I wish I had taken a few more of them.  The image is of 2 divers with some sort of shark. When they put it in the brochure I think it was upside down.

You nut!

making jewelry no matter what sort is a form of expression and art. If you want to up-cycle a necklace or bracelet that broke do it..just save your beads or whatever it’s made with and make it into something else or add a new touch to it.

As far as I’ve been making my own jewelry for myself as well as gifts I find I wear what I made more often, and am proud to say I made it when I get a compliment on it.

When I saw this I had to give a little chuckle as my old job was at a lumber yard and when I worked the register, during some down time I would go in the back & get some chain & some washers or nuts etc and make myself a bracelet and choker!

This looks nicer, mine looked more mosh pit!

So head down to the Hardware store and make a few of these conversation pieces!

The 2 tool kits have some varying items in them. The first one has storage to put some beads and ‘findings’ in.  The 2nd one has 3 different tools (one in which is an extra set of ‘pliers)

Last minute Gifts for the Crafty- artist edition

Here is some for the artist

So You know someone that likes to do crafts. They either make stuff as gifts for friends & family (like my aunt does sometimes, and I do when I think of something like the charm bracelet I mad for a friend who loves horses & riding, as well as making them a wrist bag that looks like a bandanna but has horse heads on it and the bandanna patterns.

The first question is… What kind of craft do they do (or want to start?)

For those that like to draw and color like those that may be fashion designers, architects, illustrators and so on
